From jazz to chamber music, dramas to musicals, art exhibitions to dance, Towson University has your ticket.
The College of Fine Arts and Communication at Towson University presents performances that are open to the public. Guests are encouraged to attend any of the more than 200 dance and theater performances, concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, guest lectures and debates at the Center for the Arts and other campus venues.
The Asian Arts & Culture Center, located within the Center for the Arts, presents events and programming designed to promote Asian visual and performing arts.
The university offers family entertainment and children’s arts programs throughout the year in conjunction with Towson University Children’s Dance and the Community Art Center.
The Center for the Arts is home to six performance venues, including the 500-seat Harold J. Kaplan Concert Hall, the 350-seat Mainstage Theatre, the 200-seat Studio Theatre, the 165-seat Recital Hall, the 100-seat Studio Theatre, the 165-seat Recital Hall, the 100-seat Ruth Marder Studio Theatre and the 80-seat Dance Studio Theatre. The center features three galleries, including the Asian Arts Gallery, the Center for the Arts Gallery and the Holtzman MFA Gallery.
Additionally, performances and events are held in Stephens Hall Theatre located in Stephens Hall.
