TU CELEBRATES 150 YEARS

This past year, Towson University celebrated its 150th anniversary and throughout the year honored the occasion with events, a speaker series and even a special book release celebrating the occasion.

As part of the celebration, Towson University alumna Amy Schumer performed at SECU Arena as the university’s 150th anniversary signature event. The Golden Globe and Emmy nominated actress, comedian, writer and producer performed to a packed house of Towson students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The signature event followed the Towson University 150th Signature Speaker Series. Each Towson University college was able to bring in a one-of-a-kind speaker to give a presentation to the Towson Community.

Along with giving a special presentation that was open to the community, each speaker held special sessions with the respective college that brought them in.
